Shoe Design (Round 2)

Service Description

Explore, Transform and Construct Shoes! We'll start with ordinary shoes, take them apart and use them as inspiration for creative new shoes - wearable or for display! Let your child's imagination soar as they take part in this unique free 3-day art experience only available at The Treehouse! Registration is required for participation. This amazing opportunity is FREE! This event is for children 8-13 years old. Kids will have a blast learning about how shoes are made & designing with our own Art Educator, Beth Paronish! We'll take apart shoes, then we'll use the parts to make new shoes & add our own special touches to create true works of art! A finale Shoe Exhibition will take place on Saturday, August 17 for participants to share their creations with 2 guests. Shoe designing & exhibition occur at The Treehouse on Number Nine Rd., Hastings, PA. You provide transportation. Funding is provided by the Pennsylvania Rural Arts Alliance from the 1889 Foundation Creative Health Impact Grant.
